Dr. Arindam Mitra is the Dean of the School of Allied and Healthcare Professions, RV University, India. His research interests include microbial biofilms, vaccines, and infectious diseases. He has published multiple peer-reviewed articles, and book chapters and authored and co-authored books on these topics. Dr. Mitra is currently the editor of PLOS One, Peer J Life and Environment, Canadian Journal of Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology, Microbiology Today and Frontiers in Microbiology. His long-term goals are to foster a dynamic and collaborative learning environment for students, enhance the quality of education and research, and promote the impact and relevance of microbiology in society.
