Carlos is a tropical biologist studying the effects of changing environments on plant-insect interactions. In his research, he combines field and laboratory experiments with demography, quantitative genetics, molecular biology and insect physiology to understand how arthropods adapt to novel environments, for example, novel host plants or projected global warming.
