Mitsuri is a Social Anthropologist from the Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan (UADY) and currently a Master’s student at CIESAS-Pacific South, Oaxaca, Mexico. Experienced in designing and disseminating interdisciplinary and intergenerational projects in southeastern Mexico communities as a researcher and workshop facilitator. Academic interests include mass tourism, mobility, migration, socio-environmental transformations, and medical and health anthropology. Currently collaborating at the Ecohealth Laboratory, Merida Unit (UNAM), conducting research on mobility, emerging viral diseases, socioecosystems, and health-illness processes related to zoonotic disease in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico.
