Nadia Zikiou, Ph.D. is an Associate Research Scientist at the Yale Center for Geospatial Solutions and former Hutchinson Postdoctoral Fellow at the Yale Institute for Biospheric Studies and the Department of Computer Science. She holds a Ph.D. in Remote Sensing with expertise in AI, geospatial analysis, hyperspectral and LiDAR data. Her work focuses on Earth observation for environmental monitoring, including fire severity mapping, carbon storage, biodiversity, and water quality. She has led research in Africa, Southeast Asia, and the U.S., and is a certified drone pilot. Nadia also supports cross-disciplinary projects and mentors students in GIS and AI applications.
