Renata Durães Ribeiro is a Senior Professor of the Practice at Tulane University, New Orleans, with an expertise in tropical ecology and conservation, animal behavior and evolution. She holds a MS from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Brazil and a PhD from University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has conducted ecological research on a variety of organisms such as birds, insects, fishes, insects and plants, and in a variety of places such as in Brazil, Ecuador and United States. Courses she teaches at Tulane include Introductory Biology, Tropical Biology, Vertebrate Biology, Animal Behavior, Biostatistics, and a field course in Ecuador.
