As a Forest Ecologist, I have always been fascinated by a tremendous diversity of plant and animal species, especially along one of the longest and steepest elevational gradients along the slopes of Himalayas. I am keen to understand how these species differ in their traits, and how these traits shape species performance, distribution, and coexistence, and in turn, shape ecosystem functions and services. I believe such an understanding is vital for designing sustainable and multifunctional landscapes that benefit both nature and humankind. I work as an Assistant Professor at Institute of Forestry, Tribhuvan University, Nepal, where I teach Forest Ecology and Forest Management.
