Luis is an associate professor at Virginia Tech, in Blacksburg, Virginia. He holds Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master in Science of Wildlife Management degrees by University of San Carlos in Guatemala, and Master of Veterinary Sciences and PhD in disease ecology degrees by University Andres Bello in Chile. The Escobar’s Lab studies biodiversity responses to global change.
